In an earlier posting I've discussed about how each one of us go through a "desert" in our lives - it could be a break up, a loss of a loved one, unemployment or so on. The nature of the "desert" could be different but one thing is certain, we all must pass and journey through it alone. In our loneliness, we begin to rely on God, and when we rely on Him, we can then see Him. Is this connected to the Christian Charismatic Renewal which is concerned with prayer healing as well?
I am a fan of Mrs. Agnes Sanford of the Presbyterians. She is recognized as the grandma of modern prayer healing. She was influential in the healing ministry of Fr. Francis MacNutt, a Roman Catholic.

Renew International is focusing on Catholic Charismatic Renewal with materials developed and administered by the Archdiocese of Newark.
I have heard of Mrs. Sanford but I haven't had any of her materials yet for my own personal studies. I would love to have them though. I have read several materials about the Holy Spirit's movement in Charismatic and Revival circles happening in different churches from fundamentalists to Roman Catholics and have learned a lot from them in my own faith walk.
